NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana- IS THIS 2011?? Are we in a fever dream? We woke up and JIMMY GRAHAM IS BACK! No one saw this coming. This slipped past the local sports media in epic fashion. When I asked Deuce McAllister his reaction to the signing, he began to vie for a return of his own:

Though in jest, the move caught everyone off guard.

Graham was surprisingly traded in 2013 to the Seattle Seahawks; a move that sent a shock wave through the NFL. Graham snagged 99 catches and topped 1,300 yards in his best year with the New Orleans Saints. Now that he is back, it's hard not to be excited to see the fan favorite back in black and gold.

Although, I think Dennis Allen made this move to buy some grace with the Who Dat Nation, this is a solid signing to fulfill a need at Tight End.

Juwan Johnson is slated to be the starter for the Saints this year. Johnson had a solid season last year with 42 receptions, 508 yards, and 7 touchdowns at the tight end position. He is looking to take a big leap with new QB, Derek Carr at the helm. With Graham bringing a veteran presence, I believe that it will help Johnson become a top 5 Tight End. Not to mention, the Saints' offense running a 2 Tight End set in the red zone that will give opposing defenses fits.

I don't look for Graham to be his old explosive self. I am not looking for those huge numbers that he once gave the Saints. He hasn't played football in a year and a half. However, I do look for him to be a leader in a young locker room and also give us one more year of high flying dunks over the goal posts; especially against the Atlanta Falcons.
