City of Bogalusa Hosts Back to School Bash

BOGALUSA, Louisiana – Despite the early challenges posed by thunderstorms, Mayor Tyrin Z. Truong's determination prevailed as the BIG Back to School Bash unfolded, leaving an indelible mark on the community. With an astounding 70 partners coming together to support this monumental supply drive, Bogalusa witnessed a heartwarming display of unity and compassion as over 400 children received the essential tools they need for a successful start to the new school year.


This event, touted as the largest supply drive the city has ever seen, underscored the city's commitment to investing in the future of its children. Amidst the initial weather obstacles, the children's unwavering spirit inspired everyone involved to press forward, resulting in an unforgettable day for the children of Bogalusa. "When the rain came, all the kids ran under the pavilion and some were adamant that they did not want to go home that soon," one attendee noted.


"Our children are the heart and soul of this community, and it fills my heart with joy to witness the overwhelming support from all our partners in making this Back to School Bash an extraordinary success," exclaimed Mayor Tyrin Z. Truong. "Today, we stand united, showing our young ones that their education and well-being are our top priority.
